Fighting Type Explained
Fighting hits five types super effectively (Normal, Ice, Rock, Dark and Steel), tied with Ground for the most in the game. The catch: five types resist it and Ghost types are completely immune.
Against a pure Fighting Pokémon, lead with Flying, Psychic and Fairy moves and avoid Bug, Rock and Dark. Against a Fighting dual type the answer changes, because the second type can cancel a weakness or stack it into a 4× hit — use the Pokémon type calculator to check any exact combination.
